There has been a slight controversy on the “Dangar Doomna” Poster of the film where people at Facebook started blaming Diljit for degrading the look of Turban and calling a sardar “Dangar”. The expectations are that J&J will get the biggest opening in Punjabi Cinema till date. All in all we are all having a lot of hopes from the film. The editing of the film seems quite nice from the promo and the songs. His fresh face and comic antics seem to be coming from the heart and if the film carries the same appeal as the promo and trailers, it will surely be a treat to watch. It set a record for the first week box office by collecting of Rs 4.70 Crore (Rs 4.30 cr East Punjab + Rs 40 lakhs Delhi/UP) and in it’s second weekend it collected Rs 2 Crore plus to become the highest grossing Punjabi Film with a collection of Rs 6.75 Crores in just 10 days! After four weeks of release it has grossed a total of Rs 10.80 cr from the East Punjab territory, which is the 3rd highest total in that territory in the history of Indian Cinema, only behind Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots and Salman Khan’s Bodyguard.
